A
Partnership Approach – Caring for your Employees
|
|
Imagine a world without men, the difference is you!

The
Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) and AMMA have partnered together
to develop a Prostate Cancer Awareness Site Outreach Program for AMMA members.
The aim of the program is to develop on-site educational sessions for men and
women working throughout Australia.
The
majority of employees on-site are male, but women are also the partners,
friends and family members of potential Prostate Cancer sufferers and
survivors.
Prostate
Cancer is the most common cancer in Australian men, and is the second most
common cause of cancer deaths in men. A national survey by PCFA show that only
52% of men felt informed about Prostate Cancer.
Together
we can raise the awareness of a disease that men just ‘don’t want to talk
about’. These sessions can be conducted on-site or in your corporate offices.
A PCFA ambassador, who has experienced firsthand dealing with the disease, will
come and talk to your employees about statistics, symptoms, prevention and
support on Prostate Cancer. AMMA and PCFA will provide promotional material to
publicise the session on-site.
We
do ask for a contribution towards each session and all money raised goes to the
Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia to assist with funding future research
into the prevention of this disease.
